The Role of FIO2 in Oxygen Therapy in the ICU

I think the amounts of FIO2 required enrollment and pilot are substantial and are not markedly different than other trials. I think that reflects a patient population who start with some degree of gas exchange impairment although that certainly gets better over time to the point that many patients are able to come off oxygen as they improve. So it's still an important question even if your lungs are functioning perfectly but I will be looking very much forward to see the result of Paul's mega rock strong trial.
