How to Taper for Your Endurance Races

If you're running multiple races in yours an, you are likely going to have more like a competition phase. Elite and higher level runners may find that they benefit from a shorter overall taper because their base fitness is extraordinarily high. Most of us need time to build our endurance on our training cycle. For elite runners who are already coming from a very, very high base volume, they have the endurance all they're working on as the race specific prep at that point in time.
