Sleep Loss and Sleep Pressure

The frontal parietal network is far more sensitive to sleep loss and sleep pressure. The subcortical phalamic brainstem and basal ganglia are actually more affected by circadian factors. So if your sleep timing is way off, then those, that particular activating system and all the different components that make up that arousal system are going to be really, really affected.
