The Relationship Between Definiteness and Romance Pronouns
The boundary between a pronoun, a demonstrative adjective, slash pronoun, and articles are very thin in many of the Indo-European languages. In Hungarian verbs have two different conjugations: indefinite with intransitive verbs and transitive verb with indefinite objects. And then you have a definite system, which is used when your direct object is definite. So it looks like polypersonal agreement was repurposed to become sort of a definiteness marker. That's an interesting thing to mark on the verb for the object.
