In a lot of cases they come in with zero athletic experience so they might be participating in a strength sport starting in their mid 20s and they've done nothing physical in their whole lives. When you look at the long-term athletic development programs of like soviet russia all of them do gymnastics up until six six years old but then schools start to specialize in things. Even in a sport like powerlifting the early specialization of it may touch a pvc pipe and kind of begin to learn basic technical skills underneath the barbell.
