A lot of local farms who upped their growing practices in terms of the tender veggies and just to serve us so I feel like we can count on a smaller radius. We have some as close as three miles to the store. It took years to kind of get into equilibrium but it's an educational thing too because no matter what garlic you grow your storage garlic is not going to last to July which is when the new garlic comes in. So then you have an opportunity to teach the customers about garlic scapes green garlic that before it's like the full garlic clove, he says.
