What Is Reappraisal?
People who use reappraisal strategies more frequently experience more positive and less negative emotions. When i'm faced with a stressful situation, i make myself think about it in a way that helps me stay calm. Or similarly, when i want to feel more positive emotion, i change the way that i am thinking about the situation. This is sometimes called re framing as well.
