The Importance of Stable Exercises

No matter how good the narrative is around that particular exercise doing a miraculous thing, it's probably not working because recruitment levels just aren't high enough. We should include that as a point really because if people are devoting effort and energy to putting huge amounts of weight on and off a machine, that's definitely detracting from the workout in my opinion. So training the muscle first in the workout using stable exercises, using the right loading. Sometimes it's as simple as just changing the resistance profile on an exercise. And now we're actually we're going to recruit motor units. That's what I was getting back to.
