Sleep, diet, exercise, meditation and for people with ADHD if the medications are helpful taking their medications. All of those have measurable impact on these executive functions like being able to track what's in front of you and remember where you put it or to hold on and finish the task instead of allowing yourself to be interrupted. The other thing I've been thinking a lot more about in terms of attention is there's a psychiatrist and neuroscience researcher by the name of Ian McGillcrest who's written about the left brain and right brain.
