Napoleon and Josephine

Josephine was not initially interested in the man she gave the rather infantilizing nickname of Little Bonaparte. However, he slowly wore her down and they were married on March 9, 1796. The wedding itself was nothing fancy, but Josephine had demanded a massive dowry. Napoleon kept everyone waiting for two hours as he was frantically busy with army business. He delayed his own wedding to attend to his duties.
