Wake up with a plan, no more than two or three items on the to-do list and you get moving. Get some small wins so that you're generating momentum towards your big picture vision. Journaling first thing in the morning is one of the most creative ways to use your mind. I applied these principles to become a professional author while doing my PhD program at Clemson University.
