I get quite motivated by competition. I pick a target and figure out what to do with that target. Figure out what they're doing, do it better. Or think of something they didn't think of. Killy's heel. Do you buy competitors' products to study? Hmm. Like, really? Wow. That's not even hard. But if you are the best, it's actually harder.
