Sleeping Pills - Are They the First Line Treatment?

In the last month, ten million people have swallowed some kind of sleeping pill. A third of ther patients lives are spent sleeping, but they only get two hours, two hours each. There is something called behavioral therapy for insomnia that can be just as effective as sleeping pills in terms of its benefit for sleep. If we were to come up with a sleeping medication that i think is effication, efficacious, beneficial, doesn't have health consequences and produces naturalistic sleep, i would be a very vocal advocate of it.
