How Much Salt Do You Really Need to Replace During Exercise?

The study was all about trying to work out how much sodium is actually required to replace during exercise to maintain a stable blood sodium concentration. So that's basically the study in a nutshell and what it was trying to achieve. We don't need to think about sodium as like this thing that runs out and when we get it's big enough deficit something bad happens because that's not really how it works.
