If objectivity is the goal, we're much better off if our biases are operating within the window of awareness, not outside of. So I try to review any piece of literature, whether it is something based on the title or abstract appears to be pro my position or or anti my position. And then go through the methods sections, say, okay, how do they conduct this study? What are, you know, potential concerns? How did they track food intake, for example? Did they do it sequentially?
