Is There a New Level of Realism in 3d Animations?

I've never wanted to do photo realism human rigt like that just seems like a level of torture i just don't want to subject myself to. But iv read about it, i'm fascinated by it. I find like i'm almost at the point where it's hard to even imagine where it's going to go, because the tech is so good. You just don't need to have actors any more. R, you know, one actor that can do all the parts. Am, so, i don't know, it's pretty crazy.
