The Importance of Shuttle Runs in the Open Workout

I really disliked the idea of doing a hundred shuttle runs. I was able to fall into a similar kind of like cadence and rhythm that I would if I were doing longer runs. Now it was still super boring to run down and back, you know, 200 or whatever times in total in that workout. But I also do think it actually tested what they were going for, which was to at least assess, can people run before they get to the semi final where they're going to have to do maybe a five mile rock run.
