The way that we're all programmed to say no is I'm so sorry. And the other person's heart thinks immediately and they're not really able to engage properly with what you go on to say. So a large part of our days are spent dealing with other people, which can be the source of most of our frustration. It's statistically unlikely that this irksome person is actually a psychopath but chances are something has put their brains on the defensive.
