How Do Dolphins Communicate With One Another?
I think there's a very easy metaphysical trap one can fall into when attempting to make these distinctions as opposed to a more dialectical sort of apprehension of the full spectrum of intelligent life. I recently went to Mexico because my wife's family is mexican they have family down there and I actually got a chance to swim with dolphins which was an incredibly intense experience. The way dolphins make noises is through their blowhole on the top of their head it's not through their mouth or vocal larynx like we do. It's actually by restricting airflow in and out of the blowhole that they make any sort of auditory noise whatsoever.
