According to Thessalos, the attackers discovered a secret water pipe leading into the city. An escapiodus named Nibros advised them to poison the water with Helabor. Chryssa was captured and the entire population was slaughtered. Some scholars speculate that it may have been gilt over his ancestor's use of poison that drove Hippocrates to establish the Hippocratic oath.
