I was listening to a podcast and they were talking about why we are so resistant to change. And the psychologist said that our brains are just wired to see anything unfamiliar as a threat. That resonates with me because I'm a former alcoholic and addict. But it is such a pattern that you have to break even like a generational pattern of if you live in drama and chaos, that's all I've ever known.
