The Psychology of Pain Perception

Pain tolerance is how long you can hold it in there before you just say enough. And I think that's where we see differences in athletes. They're perceived intensity of the pain, how long they can tolerate it. Those things seem to be malleable through our experience. Having experiences with that realizing that you can get out of there has a real training effect.
