What We Think Is So Solid Is Not So Singular
All we think is solid, a singular experience is not just one thing. It's made up of a flow of many changes. And we can all see it very simply, even within a breath or a step. How quickly things are moving and changing on the most fundamental level of this physical material world. So obviously, our ordinary perception is probably not picking things up on the level of trillions of a trillionth of a second. But what we do find in our practice through the gradual cultivation and strengthening of mindfulness and concentration, we come to see that what seems so solid and fixed and singular is really changing and moving all time.
