If you get up and go for a walk, within an hour the disc stresses have equilibrated. Many people think they know how to deadlift, but it's a tremendously technical task. On one hand, the deadlift creates this whole body functional strength where the joints are balanced through the chain. But on the other hand, it's quite constraining.
