Introduction
Second century AD Buddhist thinker Nagarjuna challenges the assumption that there are independent, freestanding things and properties. Instead, all things are marked by dependent origination, which means they are empty. This is the core teaching of the Madhyamaka, or Middle Way Buddhist philosophy. It has provoked comparisons to philosophers ranging from Kant Heidegger to Vikindshtain.
