The proving ground for a lot of coaches in Germany is the youth team. And then they recruit them into the senior team having based on their experience at YouTube. I'm not sure that happens as much, certainly from what I've seen anyway in professional era over here. It's almost like the youth team coaches are seen as specialist role but you're not going to have the quality to be a senior team coach. They don't really used as a proving ground.
