You need to look at the part of you that's coping, understand it and see what it needs instead of looking the other way. You have to think of this part of you as your inner child because that's literally what it is. And if we don't come at it in a form of understanding and trying to have a relationship with this part of us that's creating this behavior, it's not going to go away. We want to feel better about ourselves but still have to be aware that there's meaning behind this behavior.
