The Gary Klein Award for Excellence in Instructional Design
Peter Linn was awarded the Gary Klein Award for his work on expertise-based training. The theory is that we can go out in the field and steady expertise, but how do we train it? Training is not a natural thing. So we're looking at something and trying to understand it. And so the insight there was to say, okay, how do they research it? That led me to doing my dissertation as Liv has just finished. It's also really interesting that it's a theory award. I'm the applied guy. I’m the ID guy. And so here was a theory awards.
