It's not an official diagnosis listed in the DSM-5 which is this big manual of all mental disorders and psychological disturbances. People experiencing imposter syndrome may firstly have a lot of functional difficulty so they might underestimate their abilities, feel like they don't deserve their success as an opportunity. It's also accompanied by this deep sense that they're a fraud. Some studies have even concluded that up to 70% of people will experience an instance of imposter syndrome in their lives.
