The Importance of Polarization in Public Choice Theory
I think public choice theory is deleting kind of explanation here. Even going back to like the Lyndon Johnson thing a lot of it was just like pretty much bribing people. So my general annoyance with a lot of, a lot of bills where there's one goal and then we realized, hey, this is good for some people. It's either irrelevant for other people are bad for them. I don't think anyone tried to modify the bill specifically to make sure that Taiwan and South Korea were safe from American chip production.
