How to Make Farmers Walks More of a Core Exercise
Coach D: I tend to feel them more in my forearms and traps, but I'd like to get more core activation out of them. The farmer's walk is phenomenal because it hits almost every muscle in your body. If you want to bias the core musculature and get a little bit more coreactivation out of it, again, I could ramble off 101 variations for you. We have 200 and something core exercises, I think, or maybe 300 something on the hardcore DVD. But for farmer's walks, the top three that come to my brain are zigzag instead of just getting stuck in the rut of walking in a straight line.
