Mental morals are not so much about how the world works, as they're about internal consistency. Our brain is basically layers an layers of processing that throw out most of it and math it to er a sort of toy universe inside our heads. And it's the stoy universe that we actually play with and er. The only thing we ask for is that it be much, much simpler than the world itself - which means if you close your eyes and shut off input things should not fall apart.
