When asked whether they intend to donate to a charity in the following year, 83% will say they will say I'm going to donate. But when you look at the info at the end of the year only 40% actually donate. And it doesn't you know so we donate at half the amount that we tell other people and ourselves that we're going to donateWe overemphasize we exaggerate by double how charitable we are. And but we only slightly overestimate how charitable other people are. Now there's an implicit bias if I've ever heard one.
