The Evolution of Value Realization

A lot of value is getting created but especially early on it isn't and you can put a lot of friction on those systems that prevent from ever getting out of the starting box. So think for example of Excel. It's like the Swiss Army knife it's got a gazillion features in it. I can derive a lot of value just sitting in my office and doing analysis or taxes. On the other hand it's still embedded remarkably after decades in the workflow of lots of companies they email sheets around to get populated, which creates a peer to peer network effect.
