Is There a Pattern in the Afterlife?
Epicurean teachings, teachings of Epicurus and the followers in antiquity. Their whole goal was to maximize pleasure, and then occasional blowouts that were spaced out long enough so they could really enjoy it. And I think that's made a, it's made kind of a profound influence on my own life. You can understand how Christians have this idea of the afterlife, like you have to be aesthetic now in order to have fullness of joy in the afterlife.
