Do You Take Notes During Your Interview?
More important than taking notes during the interview is when you walk out of the interview to write down, then your favourite moments. When i'm out in the field, like doing a day of reporting, at the end of the day, i force myself,. no matter how tired i am, to sit at the computer and just list everything i remember as being good. You want to have a structure for the story in your head from the minute you start working on the piece. And then that information tells you what actually worked and what the final structure will be.
