M, i'm not sure what the publishing conditions for poetry are in contemporary russia. I remember when i was a student in moscow in the early eighties, the thing that struck me was how extraordinarily popular poetry was among ordinary readers. Dsa, i mean, the am the 13 volume collected works of maakovski that was published in the 19 fifties, came out an n edition of a hundred thousand copies,. And theyre currently doing a 20 volume collected works, which, as bury says, will contain all the bits tht theyythey didn't put in the boudris bete an. That's an edition of 600 copies.
