The Feminization of the Influencer
An influencer is a strongly feminine coded position. It implies that, in going about your life, you are an object that other people want to emulate. A content creator implies instead that you are actually producing an object in the world. That productive dimension is masculine coded and thus seen in our society as more respectable.
