The Relationship Between AFib and PE
Atrial fibrillation can predispose to thrombosis in the body through many purported mechanisms. Most patients with diagnosed AFib should be on anticoagulation, ideally. The group of people who aren't are going to have a lot of other potentially either vascular risk factors or really low risk factors for clotting.
