The Evolution of Dietary Inputs and Microbes

We now have the world's biggest database of over 50,000 stool metagenomes. And that's going to go to up to a million fairly quickly. The cost of sequencing 10 years ago was at least five to $10,000 per stool sample. Now it's less than $100. We needed this just like genetics needed the big numbers to really work out what's going on in complex diseases.
