The most important functional- the most important thing to me is grounding and being present. So for example, when panic is really showing up or when there's an urge to avoid something overwhelming, we want to see if we can bring all of our attention to this present moment. And one of the ways which we can do that really quite quickly is to feel your feet on the floor.
