The Effects of Ketone Ester on Intestinal Permeability

I really don't like people chasing ketones and I think this is particularly relevant for athletes like Sean. The reason your body produces ketones requires something called oxalo acetate to be depleted from the citric acid cycle. So if you're having a massive level of ketones, that basically indicates impaired gluconeogenesis by way of a relative deficiency of oxaloacetate. And so for an elite athlete, especially somebody that you show and you're trying to put out a huge amount of watts on the concept... You don't want to be running a huge level of Ketones because that means that you're going to have a relatively impaired gluconeogenic response. Does that make sense?
