The Relationship Between Avatars and Player Voices

I was thinking about this all the time on anthem, but like, what does it mean to be alongside someone? Are you voice, you're not voicing them, but you're a companion to them. And so having quote unquote inner thoughts or outer thoughts or direct address is really rich material. So I think there's a lot there that could be frictive and cool and exciting and fun and playful. It also makes me think of disco Elysium.
