The Godfather Index Fund

The godfather index fund is leuis bacelier, a french mathematician who studied mathematics at the saubon in 19 hundred. He came from a reasonably well to do family, but not enormously well to do and his parants had died when he was quite young. His teacher was henri ponquare, who was a famous, and still is a famous mathematician. And he wrote his thesis on how stock prices moved - which made him interested in finance. But certainly in nineteenth century, paris was considered a litle bit grubby. It wasn't a theme that serious mathematicians should tackle. Even the terminator has a cameo in the history of index funds
