"I know you don't have childcare on Saturdays, but I'm going to put you on a Saturday and force you to call out," she says. "There's no explanation because everyone else who was working 40 hours is still getting there 40 hours,. But suddenly there's not room in the schedule for you." The domino effect of quiet firing can lead to people quitting their jobs or being demoted if they're underperforming as managers want them to be. 'We see it a lot with our frontline and essential staff with their scheduling,' he adds.
