meditation can have all kinds of profound and interesting psychological effects, not all of which are in the short to medium term pleasant. It can produce deep existential insights about who one appears to be and who one appears not to be. It can cause radically altered perceptions in ways that are too vast to explain even in a long podcast energetically.
