Meditation freezs up awareness to flow through the body, so that we're not aware of what's sometimes called a phenomenal self. I think one of the features of an achiever world is that we love the intellect. And yet, we know the costs. We look at heart disease and obesity in america. Look the number of hours were staring at our devices and flickering screens. The body is getting sick. It's in pain, and we have a million ways to avoid the pain of just being in a mortal body. mindfulness is this profound invitation back into this embodied state.
