Does Our Avatar Look Different in Virtual Reality?

We can look different in virtual reality than we do in regular reality. Does our avatar get a map or representation in the brain? Oh, that's an interesting question. We looked at a person who was born without arms and legs. And we were curious how she processes body parts that she doesn't have. She still tries to use her motor representations to understand other people. For things that are impossible for her, she additionally uses these sympathy regions.
