Getting Control of the Far Side Shoulder

An example here that is very common in the gy is if i'm trying to complete a knee cut pass, i often may choose to grab your near side arm and pull it up off the ground. So even though i may not be directly pinning the far side shoulder, there are other ways i can grab things on the near side that would allow me to control the far side. And the cross face is an example of that. Because when i'm creatin cross faced pressure on top of my opponent, i'm forcing their body away, and i'm wedging against the ground so that their far side shoulder is actually pinned exactly.
