The book is about how to create good conversations that are going to improve your decision making. And so the first thing that I really try to get people to understand is that you have to be meaning the same thing when you speak. So it's not just thatyou have to have a shared vocabulary, it's that you need to know what those words mean. The problem is that that intuition that we have that two heads are better than one just doesn't express itself generally when you look at group decision making.
